A CDR is the process of obtaining current information about the person’s condition and any work activity to determine if the Social Security Administration should continue disability payments.

A person's case will automatically be reviewed at the end of TWP. Additional reviews depends on type of impairment. The types of review a person may have are as follows:

Medical Improvement Expected (MIE) Improvement will have occurred within 6-18 months of allowance

Medical Improvement Possible (MIP) Diaried for review every three years

Medical Improvement Not Expected (MINE) Diaried for review every seven years

The new Ticket to Work Legislation has allowances for individuals in regard to CDRs based on earnings. See the Ticket to Work section of this site.
