Karen Spencer is 23 years old. When she was 14, she fell off a horse and acquired a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Because of the TBI, she sometimes gets confused or angry and she needs consistent routines in her life. She has been working at various fast-food jobs, but keeps having trouble at work. She has just started a new job, but thinks it may be time to find a better way. On the pages listed below, you can follow her efforts to improve her life.


This story is based on a real person. We have changed names and some details, and are using photographs of a model, but the events are real.
