The RCEP and it's sister offices host a variety of conferences
each year - a mix of statewide, regional, and national. We maintain a website for each
conference, including transcripts and support documents when available.
Issues in
Deafness and Deafblindness - An semi-annual, regional
conference held in Kansas City. Support documents for past conferences are stored in the Conference
Archive.
Diseases
of the Eye - a bi-annual conference held in
Kansas City to explore the latest treatments and trends in diseases of
the eye and their implications for vocational rehabilitation. Material
for past conferences is available in the Conference
Archive.
CRP-RCEP Issues Forum - Hosted by our sister-office, CRP-RCEP, the annual Issues Forum provides state-of-the-art information and training opportunities for direct service and managerial staff from CRPs, state VR agencies, and CIL’s. An average of 400 individuals attend the Issues Forum each year, usually held in April in the Kansas City area. More information is available on the CRP-RCEP Website.

Choices 2000 - A national conference
held in Washington, DC in August of 2000. The agenda, support documents
and transcripts are available.
TTW-WIA - Putting the Pieces Together
- a conference on SSA Ticket to Work policies in Kansas, July, 2001
Enhancing Employment- A bi-regional
conference on systems change for improved employment outcomes held in Kansas
City, November, 2001.

Issues in Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Employment - A 2005 conference for counselors of Missouri DVR and RSB. Presentations explored the mental health delivery system in Missouri, medical aspects of psychiatric diagnoses, consumer group "procovery" activities, and models of supported employment.
SRC Training Forum - Part of a national RSA initiative, this 2005 conference was for members of State Rehabilitation Councils and associated VR agency staff in the Region (RSA Region 7). The page includes downloads of supplemental resources, transcripts of videos, and other support material..
